Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-19
Paddock Tracker aims to be usable by everyone. This statement describes the accessibility status of the Site, known limitations, and how to reach us if something blocks you from using it.
Standard
We design with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as the target. We have not had a formal audit. This is a best-effort claim, not a certification.
What we try to do
- Keyboard navigation works across all interactive controls (menu, tabs, forms, banner)
- Focus styles are visible
- Form fields and buttons have accessible names
- Colour contrast is at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text in both light and dark modes
- Race weekend pages, the calendar, and series pages are designed mobile-first and respond to text-size and viewport-width changes
- Notifications are decorative and never the sole indicator of important state
Known limitations
- Some race-weekend hero illustrations are presented without descriptive alt text — they are decorative
- The notification badge and some monospaced timing displays may be small at default browser font size; you can scale up via your OS or browser settings
- Some third-party embedded UI (Clerk sign-in widget, AdSense iframes) is governed by the third party's accessibility implementation rather than ours

Continuous improvement
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing engineering concern. We invite feedback and revise designs when issues are surfaced.
