How does Formula 2 scoring work?

F2's Feature race pays 25 points to the winner, the Sprint pays 10, with points for pole and fastest lap — up to 39 points a weekend.

Formula 2 hands out points from two races every weekend, plus two bonuses.

The Feature race (Sunday) pays the top ten finishers:

25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1

The shorter Sprint (Saturday) pays the top eight, on a lower scale:

10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

On top of the race points there are two bonuses. The driver who takes pole position for the Feature — that is, the fastest in qualifying — earns 2 points. And the fastest lap in each race is worth 1 point, provided the driver finishes inside the top ten.

Add up the maximum — a Feature win (25), a Sprint win (10), pole (2) and fastest lap in both races (1 + 1) — and the most a driver can score in a single weekend is 39 points. These points decide both the drivers' and the teams' championships.
