How does Formula 3 scoring work?

Formula 3's Feature race pays 25 points down to 1 for the top ten; the Sprint pays 10 to 1. Pole in the Feature scores 2 and fastest lap 1 in each race.

Formula 3 awards points across two races per round, with the Sunday Feature race carrying far more weight than the Saturday Sprint.

The Feature race pays its top ten finishers 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1. The Sprint race pays a flatter 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 to its top ten.

There are two bonus points on offer. The driver who qualifies fastest — and so starts the Feature from pole — scores 2 points for pole position. On top of that, 1 point goes to whoever sets the fastest lap in each race, but only if they finish inside the top ten.

Because only the first ten score in either race, consistency near the front is what counts: a strong Feature result is worth more than a Sprint win. These points decide the drivers' championship — and help determine which drivers earn the step up to Formula 2.
