How does the Formula 1 points system work?
F1 awards points to the top ten finishers on a 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 scale, with a separate smaller scale for Sprint races, counting toward both the Drivers' and Constructors' championships.
What replaced DRS in Formula 1 for 2026?
For 2026 F1 dropped DRS and split its job into two systems — an electrical overtaking boost called Overtake (Manual Override Mode) and active aerodynamics (movable front and rear wings with a low-drag straight mode).
What was DRS in F1 and how did it work?
DRS (Drag Reduction System) was Formula 1's driver-operated overtaking aid from 2011 to 2025 — an adjustable rear-wing flap that cut drag on the straights. It was dropped for 2026 in favour of active aerodynamics and a Manual Override Mode.
