The 2025–26 campaign is Season 12 of Formula E — and the longest in its history, with a record seventeen races. The calendar opens in São Paulo and closes with a London double-header finale.
It is also the final season of the Gen3 Evo car before the new Gen4 regulations arrive for 2026–27, making this the last year of the current all-electric machinery.
The grid gains a new manufacturer name: Citroën joins Formula E for the first time, taking over the Stellantis-owned entry that previously raced as Maserati.
There are changes at both ends of the map, too:
- Madrid is a new addition, appearing on the Formula E calendar for the first time.
- Miami moves to a new venue — the Miami International Autodrome, home of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
With a record-length season, a manufacturer debut and the Gen3 Evo era drawing to a close before Gen4, Season 12 shapes up as a milestone year — the last chapter of one car generation before the next begins.
