The 2026 IndyCar season runs 18 races from March to September, with an even split of six ovals, six street circuits and six road courses — a calendar that shows off the series' all-rounder character.
Everything is built around the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500, held in May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway — the milestone edition of the sport's biggest race and, as ever, the centrepiece of the year.
There is fresh ground on the schedule. Two brand-new street races join the calendar — one at Arlington, Texas, the other in Washington, D.C. The Canadian round also changes: rather than returning to Toronto, it moves to a new street circuit at Markham, Ontario. And Milwaukee steps up to an oval double-header — two points-paying races across one weekend.
